A very exciting art show as two artists will feature their unusually elongated – literally! – artwork.
The Pop-up Gallery will be exhibiting Evan York’s amazing 100+ foot landscape “The Connection of Everything”, among other new work. Artist Diva Zappa will be exhibiting and knitting (work in progress) “Emilio”, an incredible 350+ foot scarf.
Artist / Illustrator / Animator York’s work is uncanny and surreal – filled with emotion and always tinted with wonderfully offbeat humor. York has been exhibiting his work at top galleries in Tokyo, Seattle and Los Angeles. York Clothing has sold exclusive hand drawn t-shirts and sneakers to the global artist community, including Steven Tyler, Jane’s Addiction and Billy Idol.
Zappa’s work is primarily knitted or crocheted. She does not plan her work, preferring to work in an incredibly spontaneous and unexpected manner. A full length dress she knitted was worn to the 2009 Grammy Awards by Chloé Trujillo. She also made a cape for Diablo Cody.
