Brand Library & Art Center is pleased to present ONE YEAR: The Art of Politics in Los Angeles. Conceived and organized by Joey Forsyte, Lawrence Gipe and Alex Kritselis, ONE YEAR features the work of 20 Angeles-based artists who engage with political topics as an integral part of their practices. The exhibition presents a multiplicity of voices, constructing a narrative from a wide range of disciplines including video, painting, drawing, fiber arts, ceramics, mixed media and photography. ONE YEAR brings new perspectives to the current political climate and hopes to inspire people to question, to learn and to act in support of their beliefs and desires for this country. The exhibition invites the public to join the artists and organizers in talks, film screenings, workshops and related events.
