Gregorio Escalante Gallery is thrilled to announce the upcoming exhibition of kozyndan’s Golden State, the duo’s first solo gallery show since 2013, and their first US solo exhibit since 2011. In Golden State, kozyndan are creating a boundary-breaking body of work in honor of both the golden state of California they call home, and humanitarian values they were raised with and must be fostered in order to see our world through these troubled times. The upstairs gallery will feature over ten new paintings and illustrations in mediums kozyndan (let alone few other US-based artists) have never used before, while the basement gallery will be turned into a room-filling installation piece based on the “bunny primitive” ceramic sculptures that previewed at GiantRobot in September 2016.
