Where Does the Breath Go? Drawing, Risographs, and Cyanotypes by Richard Michael Conti

Breath is a manifestation of presence and absence. Conceptually, breath and air function as both material and metaphor, representing life, ephemerality, transformation, and the unseen forces that shape human experience. The show will contain hand drawn pen and ink pieces ranging in size from 8 inches to 7 feet tall, as well Risographs (a type of printmaking invented in Japan in the 1980’s) and Cyanotypes (another printmaking process that dates back to the 1840’s, creates rich blues, and was how blueprints were originally made).
