Jon Huck is an experimental portraitist working in mostly in watercolor on paper and wood.
The themes in Leslie Lanxinger’s work are layered with mythology, religion, science, fairy tales, anthropology, fashion, and pop culture. Using tiny details and aggressive marks, she conveys feelings and ideas, and most importantly, an empathetic emotional reaction.
Lanxinger received her Masters of Fine Arts from the School of Visual arts in New York. Her work has been exhibited in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Tokyo, London, and most recently at Miami Aqua. Museum shows include the Wexner Center, Ohio, the Harn Museum, Florida, and the Institute for Contemporary Arts in Boston. Her work has been featured in the London Daily Mirror, the LA Times, Wallpaper Magazine, and on Fox News, among others. Lanxinger lives and works in Los Angeles
