‘Visions of Shape and Form’
Opening: June 20 through July 18, 2020
LBCG Artist Group announces the opening of their 7th exhibit at the Long Beach Creative Group/Rod Briggs gallery. We are pleased to have received an Arts Council Microgrant for our new exhibit “Visions of Shape and Form” opening on Saturday, June 20th. Due to the reopening guidelines at this time we are not able to have an opening reception.
There are two exhibits: In the front salon gallery we are featuring an exhibit of the late Long Beach artist, Rod Briggs, his realistic paintings are places in Long Beach that largely go unnoticed and will interest our viewers. In the LBCG main gallery we are showcasing 7 area sculptors each with their own unique style and vision. We look forward to seeing you during our open hours.
WHAT: LBCG gallery presents: ‘Visions of Shape and Form’ in the main gallery.. This new exhibit continues our advocacy to provide more gallery space fulfilling our mission to exhibit Long Beach artists.

WHO: LBCG is an innovative collaboration of artists who have advocated for art exhibit space in Long Beach for the last 4 years. Since 2019 we have had a permanent space. The LBCG’s stated mission is to call attention to the need for more exhibit space in the city and provide opportunities for the many talented artists in Long Beach. We are excited that we have been given the opportunity to continue to exhibit in this beautiful gallery space at 2221 E. Broadway

Visions of Shape and will also be produced in digital format, it will include interviews with each artist and their work. The video will be posted on Youtube our Facebook page and Instagram.
