Award-Winning Photographer Alex Sher Presents the “Underwater Reflections” Solo Exhibition at Roth & Tailor Gallery in Los Angeles With The Official Opening on June 10, 2023.
Alex Sher, a celebrated artist known for his captivating underwater photography, is set to unveil his solo exhibition titled “Underwater Reflections” at the Roth & Tailor Gallery in Culver City. The exhibition will open to the public on June 10th, 2023, from 6 pm to 9 pm.
“Underwater Reflections” will showcase an amazing collection of Sher’s diverse works, including pieces from his acclaimed series “Black,” “Blue,” and “Marble Cave.” In addition, Sher will show his latest series entitled “REFLECTIONS,” which challenges the boundaries between figurative and abstract art.
Unlike Sher’s classic underwater photography, which captures submerged models in a direct manner, ‘REFLECTIONS’ are photographs of the models’ reflections on the water’s surface from below with a submerged underwater camera. This series of works challenges viewers to question their perceptions of reality. Sher’s mastery in manipulating reflections creates a mesmerizing kaleidoscope of distorted forms, defying conventional expectations. Vibrant colors, intriguing textures, and dynamic lines intertwine, which could almost be mistaken for abstract paintings, bringing forth recollections of masterpieces by Picasso, Dali, or Gustav Klimt.
During the exhibition, Alex Sher will showcase around 20 works on aluminum and acrylic in different sizes and approximately 100 prints on paper.
The “Underwater Reflections” exhibition will be on display at the Roth & Tailor Gallery until July 1st, providing ample opportunity for art enthusiasts and the general public to experience Sher’s extraordinary artistic vision.
