Shannan Click (b. 1981) California-born and internationally traveled, first rose to prominence on the global fashion circuit, spending her formative years modeling for many of the world’s leading designers and publications. Even while immersed in the fast-paced fashion industry, her artistic focus remained on painting.
These floating structures are more than what they appear to be.
They invite you in—guiding the mind and imagination to roam freely through unknown worlds that somehow feel deeply familiar.
Each structure becomes a metaphor, offering space to confront and unravel your own emotions.
Shannan’s early career unfolded in the world of high fashion, carrying her across continents and into a kaleidoscope of artistic influences. Painting serves as a vessel for her observational ability. Amid the chaos of runways, photo shoots, and creative direction, Shannan’s close attention was molded constantly, developing elevated dynamics in her paintings which test the viewer’s ability to look inward.
Unlike the structured, rigorous world of fashion, oil painting, neon lights and prints, all offer Shannan access to her unconscious worlds, where flow and feel unveil themselves to her as she works.
