Mujer,flores, existencia, misterio, un mundo desconocido para la mayoría de los mundanos y no así para el artista. Es en la obra literaria de Clarisa Pínkola Estés “Mujeres que corren con lobos” donde Mónica Carbonell encuentra el manantial del cual nace su obra pictórica. Carbonell hurga en los arquetipos femeninos, revuelve, escarba, curiosa y denodadamente, hasta al fin encontrar la universalidad de la mujer. Su espíritu único, ya sea encarnado en una niña, una adolescente, una mujer madura florecen a través de su mano. Todas ellas forman una mujer, la cual se bifurca como bien dijo Borges en senderos infinitos. Contemplar la obra de Carbonell es ir más allá del velo de lo convencional para descubrir el origen en común que todos los seres compartimos, en esta, nuestra aventura llamada vida.

Woman, flowers, existence, mystery, a world unknown to most of the mundane people and not so to the artist.
It is in the literary work of Clarisa Pínkola Estés “Women who Run with Wolves” where Mónica Carbonell finds the spring from which her pictorial work is born.
Carbonell delves into the female archetypes, stirs, digs, curiously and tirelessly, until finally finding the universality of women. Her unique spirit, whether embodied in a little girl, a teenager,a mature woman blossoms under her hand. All of them form one woman, which branches off, as Borges rightly said, into infinite paths.
To contemplate the work of Carbonell is to go beyond the veil of the conventional to discover the common origin that all beings share, in this, our adventure called life.
