Lethal Amounts Presents: “The Viewing: The Muses of Nedda Afsari”
Under the guise Muted Fawn, Iranian-raised & LA-based photographer Nedda Afsari looks to capture imagery that focuses on the dynamics of power. Her work shines a light on the human subconscious, visions, fears, & desires. Examining the dichotomies that exist between fantasy & reality, masculine & feminine, and light & dark, Afsari celebrates and traverses the realms of liberation, power, control, and the divine feminine.
Her first solo exhibit, The Viewing: The Muses of Nedda Afsari, will open on July 7th, 2018 at Lethal Amounts Gallery in downtown Los Angeles. The opening will feature DJ sets from LA-based musicians Jennie Vee (Eagles of Death Metal, Courtney Love), Andrew Clinco (Drab Majesty), and Kris Esfandiari (King Woman), and will run from 7 PM to 10 PM.
Recently, Afsari photographed St. Vincent for her album “Masseduction,” & was also featured in articles and interviews by i-D Magazine & Playboy. She works closely with LA-based record label Dais.
