Galerie XII cordially invites you to join us for the opening of our
Summer exhibition with unique works by Paris-based artist
Taulé (b. 1945, Spain). The pieces presented, both oil paintings
and painted photographs were inspired by the scenery of
Formentera Island. In addition to the architecture and its
expressions of light, an important motif for the artist, Taulé
also depicts imaginary doors which represent ‘a threshold, a
portal which, from the visible, leads to the invisible’. Renowned
for his chiaroscuros, Taulé’s game is played between light and
shadows in highly structured spaces, opening up entirely new
perspectives. This presentation follows the recent exhibition of
Insula Lux at the Chanel Nexus Hall, Tokyo.
