Shimova, a Miami-based contemporary artist, has been selected to participate in an international group exhibition À Gogo III, curated by MASH Gallery in collaboration with the iconic Pacific Design Center during Frieze Los Angeles 2025, and will transform a 13,000-square-foot space into a vibrant celebration of art, design, and community.
Bringing her signature black-and-gold palette and evocative blend of animal symbolism and modern spirituality, Shimova will showcase key pieces from her recent New Totems series. Featured works include the signature piece of the series, Monkey Power, along with G.O.A.T. and Horse in Black.
The exhibition will start with an Opening Night Reception on Tuesday, February 20, 2025, from 7 PM to 10 PM. Over the course of a month, the showcase will lead into the Pacific Design Center’s Spring Market, an event that attracts innovators and icons from the national design community.
Curated by Haleh Mashian, the founder of MASH Gallery, the À Gogo III exhibition marks an evolution for the “À Gogo” series, following previous successes at the W Hotel. À Gogo III this year brings together a diverse mix of contemporary works by local, national, and international artists, reflecting the cultural conversations shaping today’s art world.
10% of the profits from the exhibition will be donated to LA Wildfire Relief, supporting communities impacted by devastating wildfires in the region.
This group exhibition promises to be a compelling blend of MASH Gallery’s curatorial vision and the Pacific Design Center’s esteemed reputation as a hub for creativity. It further solidifies Los Angeles as the epicenter of the contemporary art scene during this prestigious Frieze Art Fair.
