The exhibition Self Definition features three emerging artists from the Los Angeles Art Association who have joined together to form the artist collective Three Graces.

Artists Laura Cullen Cohen, Meaghan Miller Lopez, and Eris Sharon address the roles and expectations assigned to them as women and creatives with paintings and mixed media work exploring, revealing and questioning the disparate perspectives each artist encounters while navigating three distinct stages of life: mid 30’s, 40’s and 50’s.

Shown together the work initiates a thread of responses to these roles including submission, rebellion, abandonment, and self-assertion.

Multiple layers of oil, acrylics, pastels, ink, clay, and metallics light up this joyful and meaningful three woman show with an opening reception August 25 running through September 1.
