Remix: The Art of Music returns to Gabba Gallery August 10. Remix is a music-themed exhibition bound to delight art-lovers and music-lovers alike. More than 60 local and international artists were invited to create visual artworks using music as their inspiration. The results are dazzling and diverse: imagined album covers, portraits of rock idols, paintings inspired by songs, and much more! Curated by Jason Ostro and Elena Jacobson, the show will be on view at Gabba Gallery August 10 – 24. A portion of every sale will be donated to Adopt the Arts, a non-profit that helps fund arts programs in public elementary schools.
Adopt the Arts was co-founded in 2012 by legendary Guns n’ Roses drummer, Matt Sorum, and activist and entrepreneur, Abby Berman. The organization is supported by numerous celebrities including Jane Lynch and Shepard Fairey who is among the artists participating in the show. This is the second time Gabba Gallery and Adopt the Arts are collaborating on this special event. The first Remix took place in August 2018.

The opening night reception takes place Saturday, August 10 from 7-11pm. The event is free and open to the public. No RSVP required. DJ Jonathan Williams spinning. Sponsored by Tito’s Vodka and Auspicion Wine. Limited free parking behind 3125 Beverly Blvd (enter off Dillon) or street parking. Uber/Lyft encouraged. Gabba Gallery is located at 3126 Beverly Blvd. Remix will be on view through August 24. After the opening, gallery hours are Wednesday through Saturday noon to 3pm and by appointment.
