Luna Anais Gallery is proud to present RADICAL DAWN, a group exhibition curated by celebrated LA artist, Alicia Piller. The show is an array of mixed media works of 10 artists: Se Young Au, Jessica Taylor Bellamy, Anais Franco, Silvi Naci, Ginger Q, Jaklin Romine, Molly Shea, Sarah Stephana Smith, Linnea Spransy and Kayla Tange. Bursting into a new era after years of pandemic, racial injustice, and global conflict-paintings, sculptures, and installations-question the human relationship to the surrounding world and open spaces. Explored are futuristic narratives and counter-narratives that cast the role of the art object in new light. Introduced are feminist, symbolic, and even mystical possibilities in contexts that are often limited to a more formalist reading.
Piller asks, “In this sacred space of transformation, literal movement from light to dark, what are the objects that can materialize, what new truths can be told, what alternate worlds can be generated?”
An indoor/outdoor opening reception with music and refreshments will be held on Sunday May 22nd from 1–8 PM at D2 Art in Inglewood.
RADICAL DAWN will run: May 22-July 10
