Los Angeles County (January 16, 2018) – Project ARTruism presents its first pop-up group art exhibit “Art For Cause” on Saturday, January 20th from 5-10 PM at Neutra Institute Gallery and Museum in Silverlake, Los Angeles.

The pop-up benefits not just one, but a multitude of charities at one time in one place. Project ARTruism is the brain child of Southern California Artist/Activist Ashira Siegel Fox, in response to a desire to donate to multiple friends’ crowd-funding campaigns, feeling torn on how to split the funds. Being an artist herself, she decided to sell her own art so she could make the money to donate to her friends’ causes, and hence the idea was born.

The altruistic possibility of this venture gives artists an opportunity to show and sell their art which directly impacts charities and causes important to them on an individual basis—artist by artist.

Every artist selected and included in the “Art For Cause” exhibit, will dedicate and donate at least 40% of the sales of their artwork to a pre-determined charity or cause of their choice—whether it be a large organization or just being able to help a friend with their crowd-funding campaign. Art lovers also have the opportunity to purchase from a wide range of artwork to add to their collection, while also supporting the artists and the charity/cause of the artist’s choice.

The event will be held bi-annually with the hopes of making Altruism and Art synonymous with one another and Ashira hoping to make a specialized contribution to the world in more than one place!
