Plein Air Painting Demonstration with Michael Obermeyer – A California Art Club Program

Michael Obermeyer, one of the nation’s most prominent landscape painters, will present a demonstration during which he details techniques for quickly capturing the effects of fleeting light and atmosphere when working “en plein air” – or “in the open air.”
Obermeyer is president of the California Art Club, the historic art organization founded in 1909 by artists who inspired the California Impressionism movement, and an exhibiting artist in the 114th Annual Gold Medal Exhibition, now on view at VEFA Gallery.
