PLACES WITHOUT WALLS
In Places Without Walls artist Terry Braunstein and poet Dinah Berland take turns with image and text, Braunstein making a photomontage, Berland writing a poem, Braunstein responding to the poem with another image, and so on, eventually resulting in a sequence of alternating images and poems. Because the intention is to remain spontaneous, each person creates a piece that could stand alone as well as in combination, they trust that whatever twist or turn they take would moves the work forward until they feel it is finished
