
Please join us for the opening receptions – a two day event – for “THE SUMMIT SERIES” by Los Angeles-based artist Macey Lipman.
These new paintings depict the very summit of seven South and North American mountains. Macey’s interest in this subject was inspired by his daughter, who is an avid mountain climber, and recently climbed Mt. Everest.
There will also be works from Macey’s previous series on display, including images of Cuba, Italy, and California wine country.
The studio/gallery will be open on Saturday, January 25th, and Sunday January 26th between 2PM and 6PM
Libations and food will be served!
There is metered street parking, and limited parking in back of the building (enter alley off Rosewood, park to your right. Both the back and front entrances of the building will be open, and Macey Lipman Art is one flight up
About Macey Lipman:
Following an illustrious career in the music business, Macey Lipman began painting full time. Drawing and painting have been a lifelong passion for him, which he has pursued since childhood.
During his music career, accumulated a total of 57 gold and platinum album awards during his career in music. Early on, he worked with artists including the 5th Dimension, Heart, Chet Baker, Ravi Shankar, and Johnny Rivers. In 1972, Lipman went off on his own to break new ground, founding the first-ever independent marketing company in the recording industry. He managed marketing campaigns for scores of top recording artists, including Barbra Streisand, Cher, Madonna, Lionel Richie, Rod Stewart, Andrea Bocelli, Janet Jackson, Neil Diamond, Dolly Parton, Prince and Tina Turner, among others.
Through those heady days in the music business, he continued to paint. After almost 30 years in the recording industry, he closed his business to pursue his art full time. He had his first solo show in 2002 and continues his practice daily. He has shown in the U.S. and internationally.
