Artists & Makers Studios is pleased to present Sarah Stone’s exhibition of paintings entitled, “Main Character Energy.” Sarah Stone’s paintings tell stories rooted in everyday experience, drawing upon quiet, unguarded moments that reveal something larger beneath the surface. Her subjects are gathered by camera, capturing people and animals in states of ordinary being. Through the process of painting, she finds within these quotidian moments the currents of magic and ecstatic energy that move through and around all living things. Following this flow, Stone aims to illuminate the deeper connections that bind us to one another and to the vast web of life we inhabit.
Sarah Stone divides her creative time between studios in Ventura, Los Angeles, and the East Coast. The people, animals, and landscapes she encounters along the way become central to her ever-evolving mythology.
