Tom Miller will be showing dynamic new portraits from recent travels that possess the formal and conceptual spirit of Edouard Manet’s “A Bar at the Folies-Bergere” as an historical anchor. As a playful complement to the romantic ether of his road portraits, Miller is also including a suite of mischievous self-portraits that mine his roguish side, chronicle the vulnerability of his fiftieth summer, and mark the artist’s return to observational drawing and painting.
