Opening Reception for Making in Between: Indigenous Americans
May 31
4:00 pm - 6:00 pm

American Museum of Ceramic Art
399 N Garey Ave, Pomona CA 91767

Join us for the opening reception for Making in Between: Indigenous Americans, a new exhibition of works by Mercedes Dorame, Anita Fields, Courtney M. Leonard, and Cannupa Hanska Luger, artists who embrace their heritage and explore boundary-pushing themes of identity, culture, history, and community.

The third and final exhibition in AMOCA’s “Making in Between” series, which brings together works by artists who explore identity, culture, and community, MIB: IA introduces the breadth of unique narratives these trailblazing artists use and complicates viewers’ expectations of what constitutes contemporary Indigenous art.

4:00 PM: Doors Open

4:30 PM: Opening Remarks

Admission to the event and Museum galleries is complimentary with advance registration. Light refreshments will be served.
