In the in the current installation of its permanent collection, Mad World, the Marciano Art Foundation is pleased to include two works by British artist Oliver Payne: Untitled (Replica of Game Boy Damaged in Gulf War), 2016, and Untitled (The Wisdom of Crowds), 2016. Payne’s practice often draws on the co-opting and corruption of counter culture and on his experiences coming of age in the ‘90s, where he witnessed the evolution of connected computer technology and how the World Wide Web has altered human behavior.
