Irvine Fine Arts Center begins 2022 with two new exhibitions “Mirror” and “Terrain” that explore notions of place and self.
Featuring works by Gretchen Batcheller, Perin Mahler, and Kaitlynn Redell, “Mirror” examine notions of fragmentation, ambivalence and the boundaries between the real and imagined in the realm of the personal and the social.
“Terrain” features work by Beth Davila Waldman and Alkaid Ramirez that consider the community and place as it shifts and transforms, beckoning viewers to consider their position in space and time.
Public reception will take place Saturday, January 29 from 2-4 p.m.; free admission, open to the public. Exhibitions on view January 29–April 16.
