MashUp’s 4th Annual International Women’s Day Event is taking place March 6-8th all over the
city of LA! Friday includes a day of FREE dance classes at the Sweat Spot in Silverlake,
Saturday includes an evening showcase at LA Theatre Center downtown, and Sunday will
include a female artistic Director Celebration with classes, a showcase, and a panel discussion
at the Sofitel in West Hollywood. The Friday classes and Saturday performance will feature work
from both established and up and coming female choreographers, while Sunday’s event will
feature female Artistic Directors of Los Angeles based dance companies.
Throughout the events information from local female-based charities and other resources will be
available to help educate and empower our community. This spectacular event that celebrates
strong women through dance is our chance to come together as a community as well as support
female artists and the International Women’s Day initiative to take action for gender equality!
