D2 Art is pleased to present a solo exhibition by Los Angeles-based artist Martin Durazo, titled Shamans and Sham Men, opening November 5th at the D2 Art Westwood location. For this exhibition, Durazo will present a new body of work consisting of painterly abstractions that have their roots in traced memory of reverie and now have transcended into literal storms of paint that reflect the current tumultuous times juxtaposed against sculptural installations. Shamans and Sham Men is an intersection of new work that creates harmony amid textures, color, light, and emotion, exploring conduits of experiences rooted in pleasure, trepidation, and the maintaining hope in the face of repressive status quos.
The exhibition will be on view from November 5th through December 10th, 2022, with an opening reception on November 5th, 2022, from 5-8 pm at 1074 Gayley Ave., Los Angeles, CA 90024.
