A group show researching the various ways artists’ day jobs are in dialogue with their studio practice. Scale, material, time, subject matter, and technical skills are a few examples of how the experience of being in the day job environment and doing the day job’s tasks are manifest in an artist’s work. While parenting does not yield a tangible income—beyond the opportunity cost of childcare—it is absolutely a job and therefore is included in this investigation.
The show is part of a program of temporary pop-up shows called One Night Stand at Muzeumm Gallery in Mid City.
