LA Design Weekend (LADW) is thrilled to announce its second annual edition, taking place September 26–29, 2025. The independently organized, citywide design fair will showcase studios, showrooms, exhibitions, workshops, group shows, parties, and iconic private residences across LA that help shape the city’s character. What sets LADW apart is its progressive, neighborhood-by-neighborhood format, which encourages exploration on foot and fosters deeper community connections in a place known for distance. By highlighting the creative energy of each district and prioritizing collaboration, LADW offers a uniquely Los Angeles experience — celebratory, accessible, and rooted in the local design culture that makes this city unlike any other.

A grassroots platform powered by creators and visionaries, LADW invites architects, designers, makers, and the public into some of the city’s most creative spaces. Following the success of its 2024 debut, which featured 46 events and drew thousands, LADW 2025 will expand into more neighborhoods, engage over 100 hosts, and welcome participants from across the country and around the world.

Each day of the weekend is organized by neighborhood, making the schedule intentionally walkable and geographically considerate — a defining feature that fosters local connection, collaboration, and exploration. This progressive format not only encourages deeper engagement with nearby creatives but also makes it possible for attendees to experience more of the fair with ease. LADW also promotes the use of Metro and alternative transportation to help connect neighborhoods across the weekend.

“We designed LADW to celebrate the full spectrum of Los Angeles design culture — from architecture to furniture, fashion, and experiential art,” says LADW founder Holland Denvir. “Our goal is to connect creative professionals and curious audiences in spaces that feel uniquely LA, while helping to establish Los Angeles as a global design destination — something we believe the city truly deserves.”

In addition to its open studios and exhibitions, LADW 2025 will feature a series of tentpole events that anchor each day of the weekend. Highlights include the LA Woodshop Block Party, a gathering in one of LA’s most active maker spaces that brings together designers, neighbors, and friends in an environment where the work is actually created. The event will feature contributions from woodworkers Sam Klemick and Last Ditch Design—both based out of LA Woodshop—alongside food, music, and informal programming that reflects the spirit of the community.

Other tentpole events include:
+ Sprawl Fantasy, hosted at a Byben-designed Glassell Park residence, the group show curated by design writer Rachel Davies features selections of outdoor furniture by NYC-based designers
+ Object Permanence, the 10th installment of the popular recurring group exhibition of LA-based designers tasked with designing their interpretation of wind chimes
+ Frozen Han, an Arts District group exhibition that explores the Korean concept of 한(Han) and the memories of traditional Korean craft, preserved and “frozen” through time. Curated by Rose Zhang and Kelly Kim, the exhibition features contemporary objects by Korean-based designers and elevated cuisine to create a sacred ritual that speaks to emotional healing and cultural continuity
+ Infield, a group show exploring the meaning of home through domestic objects, furniture, textiles, sculptures, and functional art pieces that represent Los Angeles’ creative community. Curated by Meaghan Roddy at Los Feliz’s Cummings Estate, a historic home owned by architect Chet Callahan
+ EXP Echo Park Pottery, works by famed Los Angeles artist Peter Shire
+ RAD Fest, at RAD Furniture, featuring welding workshops, LA Design Weekend-themed flash tattoos, music, drinks, food, and more
+ Snyder DePass’s GROUNDED Collection launch event on the Silver Lake Pool & Inn rooftop
