Join us in watching John paint live, ask him questions, and learn more about his technique and style in lecture format. Enjoy a day of learning and observation with fellow watercolor enthusiasts, no supplies needed.
Through his energetic teaching style and ability to clearly explain visual concepts, John will provide an exposition on pigment choices and compositional principles. Come and explore how to break free from careful, timid painting techniques to create stronger, more effective artistic statements.
About the Artist
John Byram is an award-winning architect and has been painting in transparent watercolor for over twenty-five years. He particularly enjoys the balance between accurate representation and the wonderful chaos of the medium; between tight and loose brushwork; between what’s deliberate and what almost paints itself.
