On the occasion of Frieze Los Angeles, Perrotin is organizing two exhibitions in the city.
In the former Del Mar Theater, operated from 1939 through the 1980s, the gallery presents the world premiere of Jesper Just’s latest film, “Interfears”, created for his upcoming solo exhibition at the Museum of Contemporary Art of Lyon (macLYON). “Interfears”, co-produced by macLYON, will be presented at the museum starting on February 24, 2023.
In “Interfears”, Jesper Just explores the emotional topography of an actor’s brain. Encaged in an fMRI scanner, the actor (Matt Dillon) is reciting a monologue while the machine captures and presents his brain waves in two and three-dimensional representations.
