Montague Gallery is pleased to present Intersections, a selection of new works from Bay Area-born, Seattle-based glassblower Dante Marioni. In his fourth decade of blowing and exhibiting art glass, Marioni’s work remains exquisite, innovative and unique—a combination of classical forms with contemporary color sensibility and modern design flourish are signatures of his work. In Intersections, the optic properties of glass are on full display thanks to Marioni’s complex cane work where intersecting lines create an opulent moiré effect, heightened by the transparent nature of glass and the three-dimensionality of Marioni’s vessels. Intersections opens on April 9th and runs through May 22nd.
