Idyllwild Arts Academy students will be participating in a Los Angeles Fashion Week event powered by Arts Hearts Fashion on Saturday, March 18. Located at the iconic Majestic DTLA (650 S Spring St, Los Angeles, CA 90014), the fashion show will begin at 6pm and is part of a 4-day industry event, featuring Runway shows, Pop-ups, Art Exhibits & More, which provide a once in a lifetime opportunity to mingle with the fashion industries top brands and influencers.
Under the guidance of Fashion Department Chair and former Project Runway winner, Kentaro Kameyama, four fashion students will present 10 to 15 one-of-a-kind runway looks to the backdrop of an original movie from film students, which will play during the event. The theme of the show is “Gut,” a celebration of the human anatomy. All of the looks allude to different aspects of the body, celebrating that all bodies are beautiful and miraculous, embracing each organ’s fascinating purpose.
