This gathering is part of Sanzen Daisen Sekai, a two-movement exhibition unfolding between Japan Foundation Los Angeles and a poco art. Movement I: Realm of Infinite Radiance opened at Japan Foundation Los Angeles, while Movement II: Realm of Yūgen continues at a poco art, deepening the exhibition’s movement from luminous expansion into shadow, ambiguity, silence, and inward contemplation.

The afternoon will unfold as an open viewing with a brief curatorial introduction and a short period of silent sitting among the works. Rather than a formal ceremony, this gathering offers a simple space for attention, remembrance, and contemplation.

Heng Yi’s paintings move between ink, Buddhist cosmology, architectural imagination, and luminous abstraction. Seen slowly, the works become less like images to decode than atmospheres to inhabit.
