
HAITIAN REVOLUTION: Art of the Haiti Global South, 2025 showcases the immense talent of the Haitian Diaspora, as well as aspects of Haitian history and spirituality. Images of Haiti’s independence ancestors – Henri Christophe, Jean-Jacques Dessalines, Alexandre Pétion, and Toussaint Louverture – hang alongside Haitian Realist works depicting life in Haiti, and Magic Realist visions of people living their everyday lives on the island nation surrounded by unpolluted waters, peace, and plenty.
Curated by filmmaker and founder of the Haiti International Film Festival, Jacquil Constant, the exhibition opens on Thursday, September 25th, 6-8pm and runs to November 13th. HAITIAN REVOLUTION: Art of the Haiti Global South, 2025 is part of the 8th SUR:BIENNIAL.
