Foroozan Shirghani: Alienation
A Solo Exhibition March 30th, 2023 – April 29th, 2023

In this exhibit, Shirghani explores the themes of displacement and manipulation as part of the human condition and our social identity across cultures. After Shirghani immigrated to the United States in 2015, her work became more focused on the psychological and physical effects of a hostile environment, both internally and externally. In her paintings, light is the only source of hope in an apocalyptic world, highlighting the fragility of the realms she creates.
