DOMINIQUE GALLERY presents “First Born: A Collection of Work by Denae Howard”. Howard is an interdisciplinary artist from Brooklyn NY focusing on digital art, collage, and installation. “First Born” looks at how black women present and reflect their beauty, talents, and other public features. Howard repositions negative archetypes and stereotypes to reclaim and transcend positive meaning. Not to be confused with propaganda, Howard’s work is a testament to her existence as a Black Femme in modern day Amerikkka.
