The Residency Project and Sofar Sounds – SGV are collaborating to bring you an immersive night of art and music, featuring 3 diverse music acts plus live painting and new work by artist Lerer Chen.
Sofar Sounds transforms everyday spaces – like a living room, backyard, or retail shop – and turns it into a captivating music venue for secret, live shows, creating an intimate experience that brings guests and artists closer together.
Lerer Chen is a Los Angeles-based artist, born and raised in Taiwan. Deeply influenced by music and personal narrative, Lerer’s gestural paintings read as raw emotion. Whether manifested through intimate works-on-paper or large-scale paintings on canvas or cardboard, this expressive body of work will draw you into the artists’ psyche, tapping you into an alternative energy landscape.
