Los Angeles, CA – The Los Angeles Center for Digital Art (LACDA) is set to host DISASTER AREA, a groundbreaking multimedia exhibition featuring experimental electronic art, photography, live performance, and more. The event is to support The Benders Circuit, a documentary series just released on Apple TV and Amazon Prime Video directed by Angela Izzo and Eric A. Zimmerman.
Disaster Area brings together an eclectic and cutting-edge collection of works that explore the intersection of technology, sound, and visual art. Highlights include:
A/V Performances: A series of live performances by electronic artists pushing the boundaries of audio-visual experimentation.
Photography from The Benders Circuit: Stunning visual documentation capturing the raw and unfiltered essence of experimental artists in the documentary series, including a special selection of images by Reed Ghazala, the originator of circuit-bending.
Live Movie Score by Embryoroom (NY): Experience a live movie score by Embryoroom, a renowned avant-garde video artist from New York.
3D Episode of The Benders Circuit Docuseries: A unique 3D episode from The Benders Circuit offers an immersive experience for attendees.
Live Performances by War Hippy, j3m5, VJ Av@nt, Alexandra Fierra, God Is War, Pulsating Cyst, Alex Pelly, univac, Loopgoat, Rex Bruce, and more.
