DESERT MOON is a free special event in an amazing location, just outside the entrance to Joshua Tree National Park. Join artist Ben Allanoff weaving sticks to create a monumental sculptural installation, which also functions as a lunar observatory. Double bass virtuoso Janie Cowan will perform an improvised composition. Astronomer John Watkins will share views through his high powered telescope and answer all of you lunar and outer space questions. There will be moon poems. Collaboration, community, and creativity as the sun sets and the full moon rises. For more info and to RSVP please go to the webpage.
