GR gallery is pleased to present “Misfits” the first New York city solo exhibition by Daniel Nunez. This show will feature a collection of Nunez’s new works, including paintings on canvas and drawings. Through this presentation Daniel explores the essence of simple daily life situations through the lens of irony and the impact of freedom in such circumstances, delving into the inner creativity that defines certain individuals and revealing the wild side of the commonplace. As the title suggests this exhibition is dedicated to all the outsiders of the conformity, to those who break the rules without risking prison, to the lonely ones not getting accepted in the name of their freedom, to the untamed souls of the art world who chose to follow their own path and not be part of the mainstream.
The opening reception will take place on Friday, January 16, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm (Exhibition Dates: January 17 – February 15). Press members may contact GR gallery for a private viewing and/or interviews with the artist before the exhibition officially starts.
