The Craft Contemporary Gala recognizes and celebrates artists and supporters of craft who have made a substantial contribution to the museum and the crafting community in Los Angeles and beyond. A festive cocktail event featuring delicious food, open bar, live DJ music, and spirited conversation with many of LA’s contemporary crafters and makers, all proceeds from the gala directly support Craft Contemporary’s exhibition program highlighting emerging and underrecognized artists, as well as the museum’s unique public programs which specialize in hands-on experiences that deepen our relationship to art, each other, and ourselves.
Tickets are priced at $250 each, with higher tiers and perks available.
The Craft Contemporary Gala also features a silent auction promoting a diverse collection of artworks and experiences provided by some of LA’s most respected artists working in the realm of contemporary craft. Past auction contributors include Carmen Argote, Lisa Anne Auerbach, Lavialle Campbell, Beatriz Cortez, Joel Otterson, Wayne Perry, Betye Saar, Ann Weber, and Bari Ziperstein.
