Call to artists
Art for Peace
“We will not learn how to live together in peace by killing each other’s children.” ~Mahatma Gandhi
With these words in mind, we invite all who believe in peace and negotiations to participate with us in this very timely exhibition. We are all understandably horrified by the bloodshed that is currently taking place in the world right now. Our collective message of peace will add to the world’s voices to stop the mayhem and saber rattling, demanding that government representatives call for negotiations and talk rather than violence.
Guidelines:
Paintings, prints, photographs, fiber, ceramic, and collage will be accepted.
No works larger than 30″ in either direction.
Must be ready for hanging.
May send in more than 2 images for consideration.
With each image include: Title, medium, size, value, and short statement about each work.
Important dates:
Image sent to avenue50studio@gmail.com: Now through December 2, 2023.
Artwork due: November 25 and 26, 2023 from 1-5 pm.
Opening Reception: Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 3-6 pm.
Closing event/Deinstall: Saturday, December 20, 2023 from 2-5 pm.
