Celebrating the beauty of California and its artists, Bonhams’ California Art sale is to be held on April 12th in Los Angeles and will be led by two lush landscapes from Granville Redmond (1871-1935). The two works, Lupines and Poppies (1912) and In Southern California (1905), showcase Redmond’s talent as a bold colorist and landscape painter which gained him renown throughout the state, both are estimated at $100,000 – 150,000. Also featured in the sale is Moss Beach, Monterey by Raymond Dabb Yelland (1848-1900) with an estimate of $50,000 – $70,000 and Snow Above the Ranch, a landscape by William Wendt, estimated at $30,000 – 50,000.
