Inspired by the exhibition Free and Queer, this workshop invites participants of all ages to slow down, look closely, and reflect through hands-on making. Guided by the exhibition’s themes of self-expression, community, visibility, and Black queer joy, attendees will design a fabric pennant honoring themselves or an inspiring person, place, or idea using colors, words, symbols, patterns, and embellishments. Visitors may join at any time and leave with artwork to take home.
Design Hive is a Los Angeles–based creative education studio that designs hands-on maker workshops and STEAM experiences for museums, schools, and community organizations. All ages and abilities are welcome.
Free RSVP is encouraged, but not required. Walk-ins welcome.
