The sequel to a successful pop-up at the 800 Gallery in February, Bananaphone is a group art show derived from the popular party game “Telephone,” where a whispered phrase mutates as it’s passed between people. Here, groups of artists have been communicating instead through art.

This is a 100 piece / 14 artist show , with 14 different “telephone” threads. Working in different mediums, such as songwriting, performance art, sculpture, painting, etc, each artist’s piece is inspired by only the one that came directly before it. It’s an exercise in communication and we invite viewers to enjoy this exploration of linguistics , zeitgeist and fun pieces to look at or listen to and connect the dots between.
