Autonomous Oral History Group (aohg) records and disseminates conversations held by individuals and collectives in order for contradictions in their systems of values to be magnified. AOHG is a platform where people can speak on their own behalf, and contextualize this knowledge on their own terms.

AOHG also hosts a rotation of oral historians, archivists and artists who use the archive’s collection to reappraise inventoried items in order to decenter the institution in the process of accountability. The group meets regularly to discuss how to maintain ethical ties between researchers and interviewees that build mutual aid, emphasize societal embedded-ness and social responsibility.
