Over his five-decade career, Charles Arnoldi has created in studios in both New York and Los Angeles, where he currently resides; he has drawn inspiration from the charcoal-line-like branches of forest fire burned trees, from the forms and formalities of architecture, and from the vast and mysterious ruins of Machu Pichu; along the way he met and worked with fellow artists like Robert Rauschenberg, Frank Stella, and Jasper Johns. And he has the stories to prove it. In “Stories from the Studio,” Charles Arnoldi and David Chickey will explore the artist’s work and life through a pictorial history, highlighting some of the most interesting anecdotes caught on camera.
