Malka Nedivi will present a short solo-performance titled, “A Story About Shoes”, Nedivi presents an excerpt from an upcoming one-woman show. She tells her personal story through the use of her sculpted dolls. She brings her creations to life with her expression and emotion through her gestural body movements. The stage is an immersive world filled with Nedivi’s art, currently exhibiting at Matter Studio Gallery, she recreates the history of her family to heal and find peace with her past. As Nedivi reveals such personal experiences, it opens us all to the universal understanding of our innate capacity to transform pain and suffering into hope and renewal. The performance will recount a personal story about her mother and a beloved suitcase full of shoes.
