American artist, Janet Echelman, reshapes urban airspace with colorful installations engineered to the scale of buildings. The monumental, fluidly moving sculptures respond to environmental forces including wind, water and sunlight. As a result, the sculpture transforms from being an object you look at, to a living environment you can get lost in! At this special event, attendees will hear Echelman speak about her masterpieces and the process of creating vibrant focal points for civic life at The Paley Center for Media.
