Los Angeles, CA – (April 4, 2024) – Art Share L.A. is thrilled to announce its upcoming benefit fundraiser event, “Legacy Celebration,” scheduled for Saturday, May 11, 2024, highlighting the wide-reaching impact of the organization on the DTLA arts ecosystem over the last 25+ years. This event aims to raise $80,000 net to support emerging artists and provide equitable access and opportunities in the Los Angeles creative community. The “Legacy Celebration” will be a dynamic evening featuring a Benefit + Art Auction, VIP Reception from 6:00 PM to 7:30 PM, followed by a Community Party from 7:30 PM to 10:00 PM. The event will take place at Art Share L.A.’s historic warehouse building located at 801 E 4th Pl, Los Angeles, CA 90013.
Art Share L.A. is committed to creating equitable access and inclusive opportunities for every artist in the Los Angeles community. Through initiatives such as providing affordable housing, connecting artists to paid opportunities, and offering a platform for art sharing, Art Share L.A. aims to eliminate barriers and foster a culturally rich and vibrant community, keeping artists in the Arts District.
This year, Art Share L.A. is proud to honor Isabel Rojas-Williams, whose remarkable contributions to the arts have left a lasting legacy. This Legacy Honoree will be recognized during the event. Betty Avila, Program Officer of the Perenchio Foundation, who shares Art Share L.A.’s commitment to fostering creativity and supporting emerging artists, will honor Ms. Rojas-Williams. Renowned playwright and performer Richard Montoya of Culture Clash will serve as the Emcee/Master of Ceremonies, while DJ Jeremy Sole will provide the musical ambiance throughout the evening.
Attendees can look forward to an exciting Art Auction featuring limited edition prints and an exclusive signing experience with contemporary artist RISK, adding a unique touch to the fundraiser.
